Helpful Information for Sellers

Your house or property should always be available to show, even if it may occassionally be inconvenient for you.

Try to not be at the property at the time of showing. Homebuyers tend to feel like intruders if you are there when they visit and they may not fully feel comfortable. If you cannot leave the property, try to remain out of the way of the area in which they are viewing.

When you know someone is coming to tour your home, turn on all of the lights whether it is day or night. A well lit home gives a "homey" impression.

If you have house pets, it would be best to take pets with you or leave them in a penned area outside. The last thing you need is for household pets to get loose and get lost!

Keep all kitchen trash emptied, and try to keep house tidy at all times. Make beds, vacuum, and dust regularly.

Remember you want to send a positive message about every aspect of your home. You need to think of your home as a marketable commodity. You ultimate goal should be to get others to see it as their potential home, not yours!
